meet Dr. Maria Llompart
Dr. María Llompart fell in love with orthodontics at just 12 years old while helping her father in his dental practice in Puerto Rico. That early spark has grown into a career defined by dedication, skill, and compassionate care.
After graduating from the School of Dental Medicine of Puerto Rico in 2010, she moved to New York to complete a General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, where she served as Chief Resident and was later appointed as an attending. She began her orthodontic specialty training there in 2014 under the mentorship of Dr. Nina Laracuente.
Dr. Llompart joined Braces World Orthodontics in 2016 and became a partner in 2021. She is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of her field.
Her philosophy is centered around creating beautiful, healthy smiles in a caring, supportive environment. She believes orthodontics is not just about teeth—it’s about confidence and lifelong health.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Llompart enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling with her husband, exploring museums, working out, and baking sweet treats.
